President's Message

I want to warmly welcome you and to thank you for taking on this very valuable leadership role. I’m excited and looking forward to working with you. During my term, I hope to get to know you, your council and units. I want to know firsthand what your local issues and concerns are and how we can address them to assist you. My goal is to provide you with all of the help, mentoring, tools and resources to succeed and to make your job easier.

During the term, you will have many opportunities to attend leadership development workshops, collect membership ideas and participate in advocacy programs. I welcome your input and feedback regarding information that we can provide to you and how best to improve our processes. I also welcome best practice ideas that have proven successful within your councils.

A huge thank you to your Thirty-Third District PTA board of directors who have been hard at work preparing and planning exciting programs and workshops that will enrich you throughout the year. They are also excited to mentor you and to provide you with support, direction and guidance.

My theme and logo for the term “A Future for Every Child” represents what I believe Thirty-Third District PTA can accomplish. It is to provide an opportunity for every student to excel, as well as encourage family engagement, safety, diversity and inclusion at all levels. With all of us working together we can do it, and I look forward to working alongside you to make it happen.

Thank you and may our term together be a success!

Martha Deutsch

President, 2017-2019

membershiphandsWhat is PTA? Why join PTA? The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. But there are many more PTA advantages.

To remain in good standing, a unit must remit through channels, the required per capita membership and insurance in time to be postmarked by Thirty Third District PTA no later than March 15.
